Final

Final Image :

This Mandala depicts who I am and where I am from.
I was born in Korea but I lived in few different countries; New Zealand, Malaysia and currently Australia. My mandala is mainly influenced by Korea and New Zealand's culture, as where I spent most of my life in these countries.

For the centre of my mandala, I've used tranditional colours and patterns from Korea because it is my country of origin.
The three colours, Blue, Red and Yellow are the three symbolic colours of Korea. These colours were used in the earliest flags in Korea, and are commonly used since.
For other Korean patterns, I included flowers, waves and butterflies in different colours.
I used the butterfly as a symbol of myself because I travel a lot.

I used Maori patterns for the edge of my mandala as symbol of New Zealand where I spent half of my teenage life.

Overall, it is my first time using the Illustrator software. Although it was very complicated to use, I think I have improved a lot, and can now create "curves".
