Symbols

Clock: shows we use computers all the time and we can use anytime.
Drought/Wave(natural disasters): Even if world ends, computer will still work.
Wave: Web Surfing
Hands: Obsessed hands show that how eagerly we want computer.
Thunder: big change, web, danger..etc
People: I used black image instead of real image to show that on web, we don’t know about others or ourselves. I found images of relaxed and happy pausing people to show that even if world ends with natural disasters, if they have computer, they might don’t bother about the nature.

I really dont like it...

This was most difficult assingment i had from DIS1103..

Maybe im not creative enough :'(

But it was too late to start all over again (just like my postcard)

sounds like I wont get good marks for this one too (just like my postcard)

Sigh..

But its the END

No more assignments!!!!

DIS1103 was my favourite class from semester 1

(just because I got good marks:P)

The class was fun and now i know how to use Illustrator!

Computer and people

Gave more effects to the background and the for the monitor

Pasted hands (gave shadow and made the hands bluish to make it look pale)

Concept

I've changed my concept in the last minute.. (a day before the submission day)
I didnt really like the ship so I've decided to do something about Elctronized world.

Concept: Computerized World
Nowadays, people are obsessed with computer. It is not the “want”, it became part of our “needs”. So I chose computer as my concept. The topic was to create an image of the world transformed. My Digital Alchemy poster is no longer about the transformed world in future because it is happening right now because every day, we use computers and web surfing all the time.

↑ I took this picture because i need obssessed hands that shows how early people wants and needs computer.

Concept

I got an idea by "Howl's Moving Castle"
and I've decided that world is end so only symbols of countries have survived on the ship.

So, for the backgroud: dark, night, sunset.
Each ship: Continent (europe/asia/africa..etc)

PROJECT 2: DIGITAL ALCHEMY

Brief: Using Photoshop and/or Illustrator create an image of the world transformed. It could be a surreal or impossible landscape, or a man-machine hybrid. Utilise the blend, transform and mask tools for a seamless result.

Since I've decided to design my own candy box, i had to design my own logo as well.
I used Illustrator for "BEE" logo and for "HONEY", i used the image of beehive.

Research and Concept

I've decided to create my own lolly/cookie/biscuit.

My concept is healthy biscuits/cookies. So i chose Honey.

And I chose BEE from the Bee Movie for my design. (Many children enjoyed the movie)

Brief: Re-design the packaging of your favourite lolly/candy/sweet using vector and/or bitmap images.

A template for the package will be provided but feel free to use your own. Please note it is NOT necessary to assemble the box. However the poster could display and orthographic view of the candy box.
